Mac's 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies, Week of January 9 - 13

Monday, January 9 - Welcome back!  Today we'll reflect on the challenges and triumphs we encountered in our preliminary research for the RP, and do some activities to hone our research skills.  I'll collect your Preliminary Research/Topic Selection Handouts (assigned before break) and I'll have your topic assignments back to you by next Monday.  No Homework tonight, but warm up those brains for later in the week!

Tuesday, January 10 - Today we'll learn about how to distinguish a reliable research website from a not-so-reliable one!  Homework, due Thursday:  Best Possible/Worst Possible Research Website activity.  Make it creative and colorful!

Wednesday, January 11 - Today we'll begin our Medieval Pilgrimage activity!  We'll visit a monastery, a cathedral, and feast day celebrations, and other exciting destinations as we learn about life in medieval Europe.  Today you'll receive your role and we'll visit our first destination.  Homework, due Thursday:  Best Possible/Worst Possible Research Website activity.  Make it creative and colorful!

Thursday, January 12 -  Today we'll continue our Medieval Pilgrimage activity.  No homework.
